Our Story

Born from Community. Built for Families.

Amos Advocates Community Foundation was founded on a simple but powerful belief: no family should face life's hardest transitions alone. We exist to walk alongside parents and children — offering education, resources, and community when they need it most.

How We Began

A Foundation Built on Purpose

Amos Advocates Community Foundation was established out of a deep recognition that families navigating divorce, separation, and co-parenting challenges often lack access to the holistic support they need. Too many parents and children were falling through the cracks — overwhelmed by legal processes, emotionally depleted, and isolated from community.

Our founders — themselves familiar with the pain and complexity of family transitions — set out to create something different: a foundation rooted in compassion, education, and practical support. Named in the spirit of advocacy and justice, Amos Advocates stands as a beacon of hope for families in our community.

AACF is building a growing network of educational resources, community connections, outreach initiatives, and future programming designed around one important question: What do families actually need as they navigate difficult transitions? Our first community outreach initiative, the 2026 Back-to-School Backpack & School Supply Drive, provided backpacks and school supplies to local students, and we are continuing to develop resources and initiatives based on the needs we see in our community.

Kesha L. Amos
Founder & President

Kesha L. Amos

Kesha L. Amos is the Founder and President of Amos Advocates Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families through education, support, and community outreach. Inspired by her own experience navigating divorce, Kesha established the Foundation to ensure that families facing life's most difficult transitions have access to not only legal resources, but also the emotional, educational, and community support they need to heal and thrive. As an attorney and owner of The Law Office of Kesha L. Amos, PLLC, Kesha has spent years advocating for parents and children in family law matters across Texas. Through that work, she recognized that while legal representation is essential, many families also struggle with the emotional, financial, and spiritual challenges that accompany separation, divorce, and co-parenting. The Foundation was created to bridge that gap by connecting families with resources, counseling referrals, educational workshops, and community initiatives designed to provide hope and encouragement during difficult seasons. Kesha is passionate about creating lasting change by bringing together professionals, educators, counselors, faith leaders, and community partners who share a commitment to strengthening families. Under her leadership, the Foundation hosts charitable initiatives such as school supply drives, holiday assistance programs, and educational events while working toward expanding support groups, parenting education, and family wellness programs. Kesha believes that every family deserves compassion, dignity, and access to meaningful support, and she is committed to building a community where no parent or child has to navigate life's challenges alone.
